- 1978 Founded in Friendswood, Texas by Gerald Cooney. Introduced first U.S. to metric conversion calculator.
- 1981 Introduced first digital timer to the scientific market.
- 1982 Secured first Asian component sourcing relationship. Introduced industry’s first digital countdown timer and first full line of conductivity standards.
- 1987 Began to provide products traceable to NIST standards.
- 1993 Earned ISO 9001 certification from Det Norske Veritas, the leading global quality auditor.
- 1996 Registered Traceable® trademark with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- 1998 Control Company introduced the first glycol buffered bottle probe to the laboratory and healthcare market.
- 2001 Earned ISO 17025 certification from A2LA, becoming a calibration laboratory.
- 2005 Added new manufacturing and office facility in Friendswood, Texas.
- 2008 Earned ISO Guide 34 certification from A2LA, becoming a certified reference material producer.
- 2010 Earned ISO Guide 34 pH certification from A2LA and becomes the only certified reference material producer for pH standards in the United States.
- 2011 Gerald Cooney Retired. Summit Park led a group of investors in the acquisition of Control Company.
- 2012 Mike Blazes takes the helm as CEO.
- 2013 Introduced Excursion-Trac™ and Memory-Loc™ digital data loggers, revolutionizing vaccine and refrigeration monitoring to Trac™ and download data.
- 2014 Introduced Traceable.com, bringing Traceable® Products to the forefront of research and clinical healthcare market.
- 2016 Introduced TraceableLIVE®, again revolutionizing laboratory temperature monitoring with efficient Wi-Fi enabled, cloud-based monitoring. Expanded and consolidated manufacturing and office facilities to Webster, TX.
- 2017 Introduced TraceableLIVE® Wi-Fi connected monitoring for temperature, humidity, CO2, and barometric pressure in any environment.
- 2018 Cole-Parmer® acquired Traceable® Products.
